The clients loved the charm of their historic home, but wanted to add some modern amenities. I designed and built a cabinet to extend their mantle in a way that accommodated their modern multimedia needs.
We added a wire chase through the original mantle to run cabling into an adjacent bookshelf
A caned upper panel hides a sound bar which wirelessly connects to surround sound speakers
a Samsung Frame TV displays artwork when in stand-by mode and a frame conceals any indication that it’s actually a TV.
A roll-out shelf in the side of the cabinet houses a power strip and cable box with room for expansion.
Replica crown moulding and picture rail complete the look, coped seamlessly into the original trim.
You truly can have you historic charm with modern convenience.
